Mom - Letter 2 (DearElder.com)

Missionary Name: Elder Caleb Gibbons
Mission: Provo MTC
Date Submitted: December 10

Hi Caleb,

I hope you're having a great day so far. I thought I'd just let you know that I shipped your 'save me' package yesterday. I have to warn you though, that the overcoat that we got you may not be long enough to cover the end of your suit 'tails.' We couldn't find any long ones other than the ones that you tried on at The Kater Shop that you specifically said you did not want. It's a very nice one though and Dad said it was the best and most comfortable one that he tried on. If it doesn't work, let us know and we can maybe order one. Also, I hope you will find a copy of your Patriarchal Blessing in an unmarked business envelope. The only Nike shoes we could find of yours are also in the box but again, I'm not sure if they are truly blue & green. :-/ I hope they will work.

Anyway, our neighbor, Brenda Milne wanted me to ask how their friend Elder Ryan Thalman from Nibley is doing. Don't tell him but she thinks his Mom is a little worried about him. As of yesterday, they haven't heard from him yet. Brenda wanted to come over and ask you herself before you left to take him under your wing and be his friend if he appears to lack any. Things may not be the way they were in High School, I hope, at the MTC. (;

The snow is practically all melted here as it is, I'm sure, in Provo but we expect some tonight. Adam is anxious to go practice snowboarding at Cherry Peak soon so he's hoping we'll get a few inches.

So, I'm hearing from some people, including return missionaries, that you can call home before boarding the airplane at the airport on the 14th. Is that true? If so, we'd like to know a little info from your travel itinerary. Are you excited? I hope they've been able to make it feel like Christmas time in the MTC while you've been there. Everything is good here...one more week of school before Christmas break.

Always remember that we love you so much and pray for you lots!

Love,
Mom
