I hope you've had a great week this last week. And so May begins...
I think I was born to always be moving. For a few years as I've
ridden my bike with Paul Richins and other friends, the comment has
been made that we need more trails in Northern Utah. The trails in
Park City, Draper, Cedar City, and Ogden are awesome and there really
is no reason why we shouldn't have great trails close to home. So,
sometime in February I had a notion that I should create a non-profit
for the benefit of maintaining the trails in Northern Utah.
Originally I named it Northern Utah Trails Alliance and Paul Richins
and I invited a few people to attend some meetings. Amazingly, the
USFS and the invitees all attended. It's a group of really good
people who have been interested in the same idea for a long time. The
group has voted to change the name to Cache Trails Alliance.
We now have several trails adopted and a lot of energy for what we're
doing. Yesterday I took Adam and we walked up Green together and
cleared out some deadfall that was across the trail. He didn't want
to go... he really wanted to stay home and play the WII. Luckily he
is such an easygoing kid he quickly agreed. We opened up the trail
and had ourselves a nice walk. One thing about Adam is that he
doesn't say much... most of our hike was in silence.
I know you'll be busy when you get home from your missions but I hope
you'll take time to get to know your younger siblings again. They
have grown and developed in your absence but they pray for you every
day.
Keep the faith. Focus. Remember. I love you,
Dad
